Recording any kind of music can be frustrating to get
it right. To eliminate time of frustration think about
what you need to do before recording to keep cost down.
Checkerhot Studio does not sell you what you don't need, but at the
same token, time is money. Practicing is always a good thing to get a song right, studio is not the place. Put a new set of strings on any stringed instrument and make sure the intonation is correct. We provide a drum kit, but not cymbals. The kit does have a snare drum, but snare drum is of personal taste, we recommend a drummer to bring his own snare drum. Remember, a new snare drum head is important like a new set of strings. We do not tune drums. We can punch in to correct mistakes, but some punch ins are hard to do, such as drums, in-between guitar licks etc... so remember, it starts out with the player and how well you can lay down a track. Vocals are the easiest to punch in and out. We can set up a click to keep timing and meter well intact. Sloppy meter will show up on a finished product. Checkerhot Studio does mastering for demo work, but a second set of ears at a mastering house for a product that is going on the market is best. |
